CCPGA DUTCH WESSNER PLAYER of the YEAR AWARDS

The Dutch Wessner Award is given to the Chapter Player of the Year, who accumulates the most points throughout the season.

Dutch Wessner was the head pro at Woods Hole Golf Club from 1952 until his retirement in 1990 was instrumental in founding the Cape Cod Chapter in the late 1970's along with several local pros including Mick Herron, Bob Miller, Bob Chase, the late Jay Haberl and the late Gary Philbrick.

The Chapter now hosts more than 30 events each year, it's little surprise that the coveted annual trophy is given in his name.

Dutch passed away at age 78 after a long bout with lung cancer.
